Over the last couple weeks Matt and I have done a lot of house hunting and my dad came out for about 4 days and looked for us and we didn't have much luck. However, Matt had received a new listing the day we were suppose to leave to drive to Derby for a couple of wedding showers. We decided we better stop by the house and check it out because it seemed pretty decent from the description. We went to the house and found out that the floors were being refinished and their weren't going to be any showings scheduled until Monday morning (it was Friday) so we were bummed. We waited a few more minutes to leave and the floor guys showed up to work. We asked if we could take a peak and got into the house. After a whirlwind look at the house, we talked to our realtor, my parents, and talked about it the whole drive to Derby. We decided we wanted to make an offer on it and we did the following day. The seller's countered our offer, but still within what we were going to accept so we went "under contract." It all happened so fast so we were definitely ready to get back and give the house a more thorough look. After the inspection yesterday morning we are still in line to close on our new house on July 8th!! Through the midst of all the the house craziness, we had our first wedding showers. I had a "girl" shower Saturday morning while in Derby and we had a "couples" shower that evening at Matt's parents house, hosted by his wonderful sister Amy and brother-in-law Craig. We had a great time and got to see a lot of people.

The beautiful cake that AnnElise made for my shower, her and her mom Jamie also hosted the shower! They did an amazing job!

Matt's Aunt Judy, Matt's Aunt Lynne, his mother Marilyn, Cousin Kelli, and Sister Amy...what a great picture!!
